While Natsume Yuujinchou has been my favourite work from Yuki Midorikawa for many years now, I consider Hotarubi no Mori e the chrysalis that started it all.  And far as exploring Japan’s power spots go, Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine  (上色見熊野座神社)  has fascinated me enough to give Mount Aso a miss and divert my travel plans down a less beaten path.
